Queen were one of the most innovative bands of the '70s and '80s. They combined hard rock with some theater, mixed in with a little opera. They did so much over their career that they can be compared to no-one. Freddie Mercury had probably the purest voice in rock and Brian May had an unmistakable tone and is one of the most creative guitarists ever. Queen cannot be categorized with anyone else, they are their own genre.
